THE BETHESDA PROJECT

The Bethesda Project seeks to build a sense of family for the abandoned and the poor of greater Philadelphia, providing housing and other necessities. New Way is involved in this charitable organization's annual Clothing & Essentials Drive. Throughout July and August, New Way is collecting items suitable for summer use by Bethesda Project beneficiaries. This includes washcloths, bar soap, stick deodorant, shampoo, summer shorts, T-shirts, sneakers and many other warm weather sundries.

All items collected will be dropped off at Our Brother's Place, a homeless shelter established by The Bethesda Project in Philadelphia, PA. This shelter is Iocated at:

Our Brother's Place
907 Hamilton St.
Philadelphia, PA 19123

New Way strongly endorses the work of The Bethesda Project. Please note that they are always looking for volunteers to help serve the neglected in our community. If you wish to do so -- or you'd like to contribute financially -- please contact Sylvia Studenmund at sylvia.studenmund@temple.edu.
